One important observation from all this anti-corruption rally is how it all has been linked/equated to one central figure. Anna Hazare has come to define the movement.
This one person (or rarely a group) is the center of the story.
For all those bright young college kids wearing Anna masks and carrying "I am Anna Hazare", did the humble Anna ask them to do this? No!
For larger groups, from corporations to NGOs, this invariably happens. Its the nature of human organisations. Thats how it rolls.
Now, for all those who ask "Why is Jaggi Vasudev the face of Isha, why can't Yoga be the central theme. If anyone needs attention, it is Shiva/Patanjali. So what if he is the founder?"
I think the above phenomenon answers the question partly. Its another thing that He is a Guru, even as a leader he is bound to get attention/adoration, his photos being distributed.
It does not matter if Jan Lokpal is important or not, listen to Anna's message of anti-corruption first. If you are going to get carried away by either the adulation or the smear campaign or someone asking "who will police the Lokpal," "Is Anna promoting himself," SO many things are closed...
As far as Sadhguru Jaggi Vasudev is concerned, my only request as the first step is to really really listen to him. I really wish that no one should miss this wonderful phenomenon called Isha.
I will detail my views on the Jan Lokpal bill and why I want it in another post.
Peace!
