Real Heroes

Rahman's Jingle for Hero needs mention. Very beautifully and aesthetically done. I stories I was impressed with are - the gymnastics girl, the sardar who climbs up those stairs (his expression is priceless,) the small boy playing with the armymen.

Speaking of heroes, I had a lump in my throat and really moved when I saw the stories on IBN 7's Real Heroes. Amazing!

It really doesn't take much to "expand" your family and include a few 100 other people. These people have made it so effortless. Some of them are so humble, some of them talk too much, but all of them are definitely the kind of people I love, adore and want to be with.

I really don't care about the award or the accolades, even if these stories were show cased without the awards (or Reliance industries,) they are heroes for me.

The great Indian middle class that actually steps out of their comfort zone and does these things simply because it has to be done. Just wonderful.

That said, I didn't see a category for Animals. This shows that in our society and minds, our empathy is with humans first, environment next. Hopefully, sometime in the future, animals will be included. I am not talking just about wildlife, but the animals we see everyday.

Irrespective of awards/categories, I know where I will be. It should will be Less talk, more work.
